Aster Live – March 2018
Aster is the place to be this March with live music every Thursday from 7pm and DJ sessions on Saturday’s and Sunday’s for bottomless brunch all month long.
1st March: Jo is known for her warm, rich vocal tone, inspired by jazz and soul divas Sarah Vaughn, Anita O’Day and Nina Simone, amongst many. She began her career as a singer-songwriter, alongside backing singing for several international stars, including Enrique Iglesias & Neil Diamond. In recent years, Jo has found her place on the London & Paris jazz scene, working alongside many of the most talented musicians.
8th March: Josie’s sunny energy is contagious and makes her a natural performer. Her warm, rich, and seemingly effortless voice is a delight. Performing alongside DJs and bands, she’s commanded a packed schedule of appearances spanning St. Tropez to Dubai in the company of Cee Lo Green and Paloma Faith
15th March: Mobo award-winning vocalist and utterly brilliant woman. Fola also heads up the Reggae Choir in her spare time and is also one of the lead singers of the Urban Soul Orchestra. She has a fantastic voice and energy, resulting in an electrifying performance.
22nd March: Lead singer Jess’ easy jazz/pop sound crosses traditional musical boundaries winning a broad fan base and glowing reviews from the music press. While highbrow performances reflect her calibre as a songstress, her colourful CV is packed with gigs and recordings that demonstrate her versatility and desire to delight a wide audience. She’s shared a stage with the likes of Bobby McFerrin, shimmied and delighted at Ronnie Scott’s, as well as gigging her way round the classical and festival circuit.
29th March: Sassy, smouldering and a first-class entertainer. Never less than spectacular in performance and appearance, she traverses the sweet spots of London’s jazz scene, fusing jazz standards with blues and pop influences to create an unforgettable ‘Jojo’ experience for every audience.
